About Mike
Mike Scott Jr. is a Stafford Springs, Connecticut–based drummer, composer, and educator whose musical journey began under the mentorship of legendary saxophonist Jackie McLean at The Artists Collective. A graduate of Duke University, where he studied with Professor Paul Jeffrey, Mike has performed, recorded, and toured with a variety of ensembles in the United States and internationally.
As a performer, bandleader, and teacher, his work blends musical excellence with a deep commitment to community, faith, and education.

Ministry & Mission
Michael’s work extends beyond performance into ministry, education, and global outreach.
Through music, worship, and evangelistic service, his mission is to uplift communities and, in his own words, the ultimate point of ministry is to “draw all women and men unto Thee.”
His ministry includes worship leadership, community concerts, educational outreach, and international mission work through Ziah Mission School in Liberia, Africa, where he serves as Executive Director.
